Women in Rotary Visit Crestworth Early Learning Microcenter

February 5, 2025—At the Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System, we are committed to ensuring that every child in our community has access to high-quality early childhood education. Recently, we had the privilege of hosting a wonderful group of guests— the Women in Rotary— at the Crestworth Early Learning Microcenter. Their visit marked a day filled with meaningful conversations, shared smiles, and an inspiring look at the powerful impact early education has on our youngest learners.

The tour began with a brief presentation about the current state of early childhood education in East Baton Rouge Parish. We outlined the growing needs of our community, highlighting the importance of early learning programs in shaping the future of our children. As we shared this information, our guests were given a deeper understanding of the challenges many families face, as well as the critical role that support and investment in early education can play in addressing these challenges.

Following the presentation, the Women in Rotary had the chance to meet and interact with the students at the microcenter. It was a heartwarming experience as they read books, played games, and spent time engaging with the children. The genuine smiles and laughter exchanged between the guests and our students were a beautiful reminder of how transformative early education can be. The connection made that day reinforced the importance of nurturing these young minds at such a critical stage of their development.
