Turning Vision Into Action: Superintendent LaMont Cole’s First 100 Days

February 28, 2025—In just 100 days, Superintendent LaMont Cole has wasted no time setting the course for meaningful change in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. His leadership has been defined by decisive action, strategic planning, and a clear commitment to student success.

From day one, Superintendent Cole has focused on strengthening the district by addressing key areas such as school safety, leadership, and academic accountability. Under his direction, efforts have been made to enhance security across campuses, close underperforming schools, and build a capable leadership team dedicated to driving long-term progress.

On February 21, 2025, Superintendent Cole hosted a special luncheon at The Water Campus, where he outlined his strategic roadmap for the future. The event, themed "Turning Vision Into Action," brought together community leaders, educators, and stakeholders to hear firsthand how he plans to transform our schools and improve outcomes for every student.

His bold vision is rooted in collaboration, equity, and high expectations—and the steps taken in these first 100 days show he’s serious about making lasting change.

As partners in education, the Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System is proud to support the district’s efforts to build stronger schools and brighter futures for all students.
