Star STEM Teacher Grants: Applications Now Open

The Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System is excited to announce that applications are now open for the next round of Star STEM Teacher Grants, offered in partnership with Exxon Mobil and East Baton Rouge Parish Schools.

Star STEM Teacher Grants are designed to support innovative, hands on STEM learning in classrooms across East Baton Rouge Parish. These grants empower educators to bring creative ideas to life and help students engage more deeply in science, technology, engineering, and math through real world learning experiences.

During the most recent funding cycle, Star STEM grants supported a wide range of classroom projects, including hands on roller coaster design to explore energy and motion, hydroponic gardening projects focused on plant biology and agriculture, AI assisted systems to study sustainable agriculture, and the use of simulations and drone based imaging to analyze Earth’s surface changes. Each project reflects the creativity and dedication of our educators and the impact innovative STEM learning can have on students.

Applications for the current grant cycle are open now through January 15, 2026. EBRPSS math and science educators in grades 4 through 12 are eligible to apply. Selected recipients may be awarded up to $2,500 to support creative STEM projects in their classrooms.

Educators with ideas that spark curiosity, collaboration, and problem solving are encouraged to apply. Together, we can continue to inspire the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and leaders through meaningful STEM education.

Apply today and bring your STEM ideas to life.
