ExxonMobil Baton Rouge Connects Students to Education

The goal of the Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System during the COVID-19 shutdown has been to Fill the Bellies, Fill the Minds, and Fill the Gaps for our public school students. We have had several community organizations step up and help us reach those goals - for which are extremely thankful.

ExxonMobil Baton Rouge once again, has shown their love for the Baton Rouge community and our students by donating $12,500 to help “Fill the Minds” and “Fill the Gaps.”

The donation is currently funding 51 personal wireless hotspots for the upcoming school year. These “MiFis” will help “Fill the Digital Gaps” in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. To prepare for the 2020-2021 school year ExxonMobil also donated 720 gallons of sanitizing product that will be utilized to keep our students healthy. ExxonMobil employees have also gone the extra mile by creating easy activities to keep students engaged in STEM education during distance learning.

“We are thankful for dedicated teachers and administrators who continue to find ways to meet students’ educational needs during these challenging times. We are proud to support their efforts by providing hand sanitizer, technology and fun learning opportunities to help grow young minds and keep students safe,” said ExxonMobil Baton Rouge Chemical Plant Manager David Luecke.

Thank you ExxonMobil, for your dedication to our children’s education and safety.
