FAQ for Expo
What is the mission of the Follow Your STREAM Festival?
The mission of the Follow Your STREAM Festival is to allow students the opportunity to enjoy a stress-free day of fun, interactive learning during the testing period. One of the goals of the Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System is to connect students and their families with professionals from community organizations and businesses in the fields of science, technology, recreation, engineering, art and mathematics (STREAM). The goal is to expose children to these careers early, in the hopes that they will enter STREAM fields as young adults. The Follow Your STREAM Festival will host booths sponsored by community organizations/businesses, where representatives from these places can interact with children and families though an engaging, hands-on STREAM activity.

The Follow Your STREAM Fest will take place on Saturday, April 7th, 2018 from 10:00am – 1:00pm.

After my organization has chosen a hands-on activity to do with the students and their families, what is next?
After you have chosen an activity, all you have to do is recruit your small team of volunteers from your agency (1-?) and obtain the materials needed to carry out the activity. We plan on having a great turnout for the 3-hour event, so be sure to bring enough materials! After that, just show up and have fun!!
Will food and drinks be provided at the festival?
Light refreshments will be provided.
Am I able to request a certain spot for my organization’s booth?
Yes! Booths can be requested to be placed either inside or outside, and with or without an electrical socket.
Can my organization bring swag for the students and their families?
