Greater Baton Rouge STEM Assets Survey

BR STEM Network

STEM Assets Survey

The Baton Rouge STEM Network (BR STEM) is an initiative selected by the national STEM Funders Network in 2017 to participate in a robust national Community of Practice around STEM education. We are delighted that the Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System was selected as an exemplar model for this work because of our commitment to catalyze and grow an innovative and engaged STEM community. This important recognition demonstrates the value of our collaborative vision to build a robust culture of STEM literacy for ALL students and a thriving workforce capable of meeting the demands of our 21st century economy.

BR STEM is a collaborative group of individuals representing diverse organizations working to build and stimulate STEM activities in Baton Rouge from pre-K to high school and beyond to all forms of higher and continuing education.

BR STEM has made great progress in that work to date and will continue to achieve these goals by conducting this survey to more broadly determine STEM assets in our community. We appreciate your participation and input.

Additionally, we will be using the findings from this survey to further refine the strategy to effectively scale STEM programming in our region.  You may take the survey online or by mobile device:

Take the Survey

The goals of this survey are to:

  • Illuminate the skills, talents, and resources that exist in the STEM community
  • Summarize key assets, such as programs, instructional practices and tools, community centers, resources, funding opportunities, and key STEM partners for this effort.
  • Serve as a mechanism to assess gaps and needs in the region for which BR STEM may be able to provide support.
  • Gain recommendations for focus on enhancing and connecting existing assets or creating new assets.

We appreciate your time and value your input into this survey, which should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.  You may save the survey and return to it should you need more time but we are asking that you complete it by November 10th.

Thank you in advance for your participation.
