More about SeaPerch Robotics Program
We are pleased to partner with ExxonMobil and Louisiana State University to offer the SeaPerch underwater robotics program targeting middle- and high-school participants and featuring a student-constructed underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV).
The SeaPerch program equips teachers and students with the resources they need to build ROVs from kits composed of low-cost, easily accessible parts and following a curriculum that teaches basic engineering and science concepts with a marine engineering theme. The program culminates in a tournament of local, regional and national robotics competitions.
The SeaPerch Program provides students with the opportunity to learn about robotics, engineering, science, and mathematics while building a working device as part of a hands-on science curriculum. Throughout the project, students will learn engineering concepts, problem solving, teamwork and technical skills.
Applications are now being accepted through August 21, 2015. Successful applicants will be required to attend training Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12.
